OUr Classes
Classes represent the main archetypes of a character. In general, three important roles need to be played for the success of a mission. The first role is that of the Warrior. An Eidolon well versed in the art of violence who can take on the gang thugs, corporate security, and law enforcement. The second role is that of the Net-Diver. An Eidolon who can hack into systems shut off security, and gain access to places and information you otherwise would not be able to. The third role is that of the Wildcard. An Eidolon who is well versed in subterfuge, intrigue, and the art of manipulating people. These three roles are usually essential to pull off many of the contracts that come your way.
Where your character is headed sets the course for what role they will fill within their Eidolon team and what they will excel at and do better than most. In House of Eidolons, classes don’t operate like most other TTRPG class systems. Though the class is influential or might encourage a certain style of play the character is not pigeonholed into it. Rather, within each class is a versatile array of options allowing the same class to play radically differently from another character with the same class. Following the standard RPG descriptions any class can be a tank and any class can be a glass cannon. No one class is locked into one role.
When building you're first character we encourage you to think about how you would want to play and exist in our world! Maybe even align to a House and thematically build around the house tenants. Regardless of what you choose to play the freedom is yours to explore and craft the power fantasy you want!
They walk the streets of the city. Their art, the war waged between the corporations, between the syndicates, and between every other power player from the gates of hell to the throne of heaven. Where they walk, blood flows by the grace of their blade and by the balance of their form. It is their gun that brings the tide of change and lays silent the rowdy upstart. They are the reapers, come to collect the many sinners of their cities, each in due time.
The hanging mind floating above the synthetic abyss. The matrix walkers who manipulate the fabric of perceived reality through the ever-present Omni Network. They are those who walk through the threshold of all we understand into the mind of an artificial god, once created by our own hands, now something else entirely. Here they play their game and race across the circuitry of the prescient mapping algorithm, learning to wield it for absolute control.
They are the shadows, stalking the unknowing prey through the streets and corridors, waiting patiently to make their move. They are the shifting guise, a pool of perfect emotions tailored to the mark, unfurling the blossom to reveal its secrets. They are the brokers of man, a sharp and tactful surgeon utilizing each person as a tool, to surgically dissect whatever resistance stands in their way.
The awoken mind, raw and vast, bending reality to its will. Such is their mind, latent with psionic energy, teeming with cosmic potential. Thoughts actuate into reality, ignoring the realities principles and twisting what we thought to be truth. They are the new human, the emerging transcendent unbound by the blessing of luna 8, the next evolutionary step.
They are the repo-man, the peddler of cyberware and gutter work medical expertise. Where there are the dead and dying they are there, saving who they can and salvaging from the rest. Chemical mixers and drug enthusiasts supply what the streets demand and more. Supporting many a soul in their journey toward enlightenment, descent into hell, or blitz into hedonistic pursuits.
EOD Paladin: (Explosive Ordnance Demolition)
They are the shield of protection, the first into danger and the last to leave. Undaunted by the heat and the pressure but steady when the razor scrapes the nerve. Fortress to their friends and destruction to those who foolishly oppose them. They are the rock and the hard place, a relentless force when all else is crumbling around.
The charmer and crowd-pleaser. Ever a song upon their lips tailored to win the hearts of their audience. Makers of their fortune and always with an ace up their sleeve. A true wildcard, changing the rules of the game to fit their needs and wants. They are the promise and the smoke sifting through the grasping hands when finally seized. The treasure is obtained only to turn to rubbish at the most unfavorable time.
The primal mind reawoken, calling back the ancestral bond to flora and fauna. The evoker of evolution, the changer of form through genetic manipulation. The mutant unleashed and fluid, a wave of ever-changing organic creativity. Master of the elements, tethered to the instinctual forces that first birthed humanity upon this rock, manipulator of the new energies emerging within this age.
